The fans aren’t happy with 6-7, the coaches aren’t happy with 6-7, and neither is Miami Hurricanes Athletic Director Blake James.
“No one is happy with six wins when you play thirteen games,” James said on the Joe Rose Show. “To be 6-7, if anyone is happy about that, they’re probably not a Hurricanes fan. It’s a situation where everyone knows we have to get better. Everyone has high expectations for our team. It starts at the top so I’ll say it starts with me. I want to win every game in every sport. I don’t like losing at anything and so to have our football program not be where we want it, it’s disappointing to me and it’s disappointing to everyone.
“The thing I think I would say is it’s disappointing to Al. And Al wants to win. He didn’t come to the University of Miami not to be competing for ACC titles, National Titles, and to be a premier program in the country and he’s committed to doing that.”
